Sacco Carpet was founded by Marc Sacco in 2001 to serve the architect and design trade exclusively. Our mission is to supply the commercial and residential market with a superior product using the most sustainable resources and technology available. Sacco Carpet manufactures carpet in the US, England, Brazil, Argentina, South Africa, Turkey, Thailand, Nepal, India and China. Marc Sacco frequently travels to the mills to develop new product lines as well as oversee the regular production of our in house custom orders. Sacco Carpet understands the importance and essential nature of developing client relationships, ensuring timely deliveries and overseeing the entire process from design work through to installation. Sacco Carpet has manufactured the finest hand knotted Tibetan Carpets in Katmandu since 2001. Our weavers are highly skilled artists who knot up to 250 knots per inch, weaving an inch of carpet per day. Sacco weaves in wool, silk, Hemp and Nettle and our carpets decorate the finest homes in America. The traditional Tibetan weave gives a texture superior in quality to any other weaving method and Sacco Carpet will continue to produce beautiful carpets in Nepal
South Africa
In the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountains, above the rolling valley of a thousand hills, on the Southern tip of Africa, lies a small community of highly dedicated weavers who hand spin Mohair form Lesotho and create the finest Mohair carpets in the world. It was at Marc Sacco's urging that a wide loom was built in 2005 and Mohair carpets have since become a favorite product to a select group on New Yorks finest Interior decorators
India
A tradition of weaving carpets has existed in India for hundreds of years. In addition to Kelims and Durries, India produces beautiful hand knotted Oriental carpets, which adorn the finest hotel lobbies and ballrooms throughout the world. Marc Sacco travels to the North of India every year to oversee production and develop product lines for the Interior designer and Architect
Thailand
The finest hand tufting comes from Thailand and Sacco Carpet has developed a special relationship with the highly talented weavers and artist in this kingdom. China
China has replaced many traditional weaving areas with cost saving quality products, and today the finest hotel Axminister carpeting, in New Zealand and British yarn, is produced in China. In addition, Sacco produces a hand woven Aubusson quality, which takes the old tapestry construction and renders modern designs into flat woven carpets that can last hundreds of years.
