Leather
Leather has recently become very popular as a decorative material for floor covering. Leather can be dyed almost any color, More... but the natural hair quality gives the colors an infinite array of shades, adding to its textural features. Leather can be stitched together using an array of cottons or flax. Sacco Carpet is proud to bring to the market an array of fine leather rugs produced in Argentina and Turkey. These hand woven leathers are now joined together and backed for wall to wall installations. Our collection of hundreds is still only the tip of the iceberg; patterns and colors can be custom colored creating exceptional interior design.

Sacco stocks beautiful natural fiber carpets for immediate delivery, from Europe and China. Natural fibers generally refer to More... jute, flax, ramie, sisal and hemp and create a uniquely natural looking appearance. The Sacco on line gallery shows a selection of fine hand knotted rugs; both antique and new. Rugs are hand knotted, tufted or machine made. More... Rugs are defined by their colors and valued according to the materials used, the construction and the Origin of the Piece. To ascertain true market value, uniqueness and rarity as well as what’s in fashion today, also comes into the mix.

Broadloom
Originally all woven carpet was made on narrow looms and seamed at twenty seven inch intervals. While some of these old looms still More... produce fabulous carpet today, most carpet is woven or tufted on wide looms, eliminating the need for seams. Axminister carpet is woven twelve or thirteen feet wide and is known for its mixture of wool and nylon, with its interlocking woven stitch that locks the base of the yarn in place, giving durability. Wilton Carpet is woven also on wide looms, in loop and cut pile. But the bulk of carpeting made today for the residential market is tufted carpet which is carpeting made using punch needles and latexed at the back. Most of the broadloom carpet sold at Sacco Carpet is woven; from the Spanish Wiltons to the Italian solid velour. Our commercial Axminister carpet has been known to last up to ten years in some of New Yorks most coveted restaurants; our residential Wiltons last even longer. Quality broadloom is what designers and architects have come to expect from Sacco.

Hospitality
The Joule Hotel has become Dallas' most distinguished hotels, so much so that in 2008 a major expansion was put into operation. More... New York's highly creative and much acclaimed designer Adam Tihany, gave the hotel a distinctly masculine and luxuriousness quality. The downtown area of Dallas has been greatly energized by this jewel, and the creative work of Adam and his wonderful team of architects and designers is exquisitely showcased here. Adam Tihany is known for his work on the One and Only in both Cape Town, the Bahamas and Dubai as well as the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong, which has been voted hotel of the world three times since its opening in 2002. Flat-weave
Flatweaves is an eclectic term used to describe a very large array of carpets, both hand knotted and machine made. More... Flatweaves are generally woven and are generally without a pile. Durries, Aubussons, Kelims are the most well-known, but recently the Norwegian Flat weaves have become very popular. Machine woven Flatweaves, which stated out as Venetian Weaves making cloths, became heavier in weight and eventually became the first type of carpeting woven. These carpets can still be found in the old Boston homes of the Colonial period, and Sacco is proud to have a New York based manufacturer to produce this historical collection. Sacco is primarily known though for the flat weave mohair carpets, woven using Mohair yarn from Lesotho in the mountains of Africa. This incredible fiber with its long lasting durable staple shimmers like silk and glistens with intensity.

Residential
John Saladino is one of the worlds most distinguished Architectural and Interior Designers with a reputation for originality More... and excellence for over 45 years. He leads a large firm of talented, multinational Architects and Designers to create timeless Architecture, Interiors, Landscaping Restoration and Furniture for an international clientele. One of the first to recognize John Saladino's maverick talent was the late Van Day Truex, formerly the Director of Design for Tiffany's, who said of John's work that his interiors had as the aura of a Renaissance paintings. Sacco Carpet is very proud of our long affiliation with John Saladino.
